Ana Arauzo

Associate Professor of the Department of Physics of Condensed Matter at the University of Zaragoza. She obtained her PhD in Physics in 1997 from the University of Zaragoza.

Between 1998 and 2000 she made two post-doctoral stays, in University of Montpellier II (France) and at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN (Switzerland) as senior Fellow. She worked in industrial R+D+i for ‘Philips Semiconductors Zurich’ in Switzerland from 2001 to 2004. Afterwards, she worked as technical director of a research support laboratory at the University of Zaragoza, the Physical Measurements Service, where she worked until 2022. She has subsequently been appointed scientific director of this service.

Her main research line seeks the multifunctionality and applicability of molecular magnets in quantum technologies, molecular spintronics and information technology, with the study of 2D magnetic molecular materials and luminescent molecular magnets on the surface. . More than 74 publications WOS, 45 Q1. First author of 20 and second or third author of 28. The main original contributions made in the last years are framed within two main research lines: materials with new magnetic phases and molecular magnets. She regularly participates in review activities with 40 verified peer reviews and she is European Expert evaluator since 2018. She has been principal investigator of numerous projects and contracts of technology transfer and research infrastructure and coordinated the development and evaluation of new research techniques and instrumentation. She is expert in magnetometry and magnetic materials, luminescence, scientific Instrumentation, EPR and heat capacity.
