Maria Ángeles Laguna-Marco

Tenured Scientist - María Ángeles received her PhD in 2007 from the University of Zaragoza.

She worked as Posdoctoral Fellow at the Argonne National Laboratory (Chicago) from 2007 to 2009, at the ICMM (Madrid) from 2010 to 2012 and at the ICMA (Zaragoza) from 2013 to 2020. In 2021 she was appointed Tenured Scientist at the CSIC.

Much of my research activity has focused on the study of new magnetic materials, mainly by application of XAS and XMCD synchrotron radiation techniques. Within this area, my current research is devoted to the study of iridate systems for spintronic applications.

The outcome of my work can be summarized in 52 publications in SCI journals (16 as first author, 21 as second author). General indicators of quality of scientific production (WOS): times cited (total): 889; average cites in 2018-2022: 70; Q1- articles: 38; h-index: 17; average impact factor in period 2018-2022: 7.3 I have been invited speaker at the IX edition of the GEFES meeting (2016) and Keynote Lecturer at the SCTE-2016 conference and the CONEXS conference 2022, with a total of 52 contributions to 39 conferences. I have participated in 16 projects, in 2 of them, MAT2010-16022 and PID2020-115159GB-I00, as PI and Co-PI, respectively.
