RASMIA researchers @ International Conference on Solid State Cooling

Researchers from the RASMIA group — Emmanouil Charkiolakis, Sara Lafuerza, and Vera Cuartero — attended the 11th International Conference on Solid-State Cooling, Heating and Energy Harvesting (THERMAG XI 2026), held in Ljubljana, Slovenia. During the conference, the team presented its research on electrocaloric and barocaloric materials through three oral presentations and two poster contributions. These works highlighted, among other results, our synchrotron X-ray radiation experiments, which play a key role in the advanced characterization of caloric materials.
THERMAG XI 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with leading experts in the field and gain valuable insights into the latest advances and state-of-the-art developments in caloric materials and solid-state thermal technologies. The fruitful scientific discussions and networking activities fostered new perspectives and reinforced the relevance of our ongoing research efforts.
